Adam Korniszewski, violinist of Polish origin, was born in Geneva. He has performed as soloist with orchestra and has given numerous recitals in Belgium, Germany, Poland, France, Great Britain, Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain, Greece, Austria, Hungary, Yugoslavia, United States and Canada. His repertoire includes more than thirty violin concertos of which a large number are works of the twentieth century.

Adam Korniszewski, violinist of Polish origin, was born in Geneva. He studied at the Warsaw State School of Advanced Musical Studies and then under the direction of Professor André Gertler at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Hanover, the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels and the Chapelle Musicale Queen Elisabeth of Belgium. He accomplished his studies with several distinctions.

A prize-winner at the International Violin Competition Niccolo Paganini in Genoa and the Fondazione Alberto Curci in Naples, he has performed as soloist with orchestra and has given numerous recitals in Belgium, Germany, Poland, France, Great Britain, Italy, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Spain, Greece, Austria, Hungary, Yugoslavia, United States and Canada. As a soloist he has performed in major concert halls including Wigmore Hall, the Purcell Room, the BBC Concert Hall in London, the Philharmonie Hall in Berlin, the Victoria Hall in Geneva, Teatro S. Carlo in Naples, Teatro Malibran in Venice, the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, De Singel, the Queen Elisabeth Hall in Antwerp, and the City Hall in Hanover.

Adam Korniszewski has been invited as soloist to the Festival of Flanders, the Festival of Wallonie, the International Festival of Ferrara, the Festival Estival de Paris, the Festival of Turin, the Biennale of Venice, the International Festival of Québec, the Festival de l'Eté Mosan, the Biennale of Zagreb, the Festival of Scanno, Italy's Ravello Festival, the Festival d' Ecaussinnes and the Festival of Brussels where he performed the complete Beethoven Sonatas.

He has made several recordings for the RTBF, BRTN, Radio France, BBC London, the Bavarian Radio Munich, Radio Suisse Romande, Radio Hilversum, Radio Basel, WDR Cologne, RAI Milano, RIAS Berlin, HR Frankfurt, SDR Stuttgart, SWF Baden-Baden.

His repertoire includes more than thirty violin concertos of which a large number are works of the twentieth century.

Devoted to contemporary as well as the classical repertoire, a number of works have been dedicated to Adam Korniszewski and include the violin concerto by Raphael D'Haene, the Sonata for violin solo by Joanna Bruzdowicz, Animations for violin solo by Jerzy Maksymiuk, Blending for violin and clarinet, Suite Romantique for violin solo, 24 Variations for violin solo and with orchestra by Charles Harold Bernstein.

Professor of violin at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels (1992 – 2011), he gives master classes throughout Europe.
